Ewan McIntosh spoke about this at SETT. He said he found it quite a burden to try and think of something to say and post it on his blog every day. Especially when he started out. My on/off blogging spurts are probably evidence of this too.

Also, Google Reader does make things a bit like having a constantly full mail box.

When I am in that mood, I just keep twitter shut, don't check my mail, ignore my favourites and I don't have a homepage anyway. A couple of hours later I emerge, dazed and dazzled remembering the internet is bigger and stranger that I can know.
