    It's a real shame isn't it? As I've said before, the blocking of many useful Web sites is an inevitable consequence of giving non-educators the job of filtering and judging them mainly on whether or not porn appears on screens. Such people will inevitably operate conservative filtering policies.

    possible use with autistic children? Limit what they can use, not only to stop them accessing certain things but to limit the options which can cause problems with this disability.

    well done great post
    Social networking and learning can be almost the same thing.
    Remember though culture is moving from sage on stage and learners sitting silently in rows and with deference and obedience expected - the technology is so disruptive I think some teachers will never get it -

    Learning takes place in workplace and college in different ways and not such a leap in these places
